David Suzuki’s “Nature Challenge” newsletters

David SuzukiI’ve long been a fan of David Suzuki - the Canadian scientist well-known for championing environmental causes. He’s been involved in a whole raft of initiatives, television shows and publications - one great example is the book “Good News for a change“, co-authored with Holly Dressel. This book is packed full of examples of individuals, organisations and communities taking steps to improve their environment and conditions. Well worth a read if the “bad news” stories about the environment are getting you down! :)

His website, http://www.davidsuzuki.org, is also worth a look. And while you’re there, you might want to check out the option to subscribe to the Nature Challenge e-newsletter. This email comes out every 1 or 2 months and has a number of links to interesting articles on environmental issues, as well as steps that the average person can make to reduce their environmental impact. There is a Canadian focus (unsurprisingly), but the information is typically relevant wherever you live.

Highly recommended!
